"We are there [in Iraq] at the invitation of the Iraqi government. This is a sovereign nation. Twelve million people went to the polls to approve a constitution. It’s their government’s choice. If they were to say, leave, we would leave."

George W. Bush, May 2007

"Iraq said for the first time yesterday that it wanted to set a timetable for the withdrawal of US troops from its territory.

President Bush has long resisted a schedule for pulling his 145,000 soldiers out, arguing that it would play into the hands of insurgents. Nouri al-Maliki, the Shia Prime Minister, .... suggested that it was time to start setting time-lines.

“The current trend is to reach an agreement on a memorandum of understanding either for the departure of the forces or to put a timetable on their withdrawal,” Mr al-Maliki said during a visit to the United Arab Emirates"

Except for our Air Force bases and Army outposts so the swamp will stay drained and we don't have to return en masse because of the Iranian insurgency. Plus; they will make the comming Iranian War much quicker.
Think happy thoughts.

We haven't even got any free oil out of them yet.

It's why we're there.

Now they're getting ready to divide up the oil fields and NOW we should leave?

Another Vietnam. Thousands of deaths with nothing to show for.

Don't be the infidels they think you are.
The Taliban is taking hits, they aren't as strong as they have been, BECAUSE we are there. However they have now become numbers stronger in the US and extremely stronger in the UK. Do you know there are things going on over there we have no clue about? The liberal media of course only shows what they choose.
They have changed the way we do battle.
What is the plan to deal with the terrorists after we pull? Got a clue? Think the Taliban will take a beach vacation?! Oil...sheesh.
Sure there are those who gave all and there are those who have nothing at all to give.
