With the price of gas so high, why do some people still buy $20 worth of lottery tickets?
And why do they stand at the counter scratching them off when all I want to do is buy my Mt. Dew?
Thoughts?

We all know girls can be catty. But some teens in Florida have taken their malicious tendencies to a whole new level, videotaping an attack on one of their classmates. What's more, they intended to post the video on YouTube. How's that for entertainment?
This has ignited outrage. I know a lot of us here in the newsroom are mad.
How about you? What do you think their punishment should be? What should be done to help the victim recover after being emotionally and physically traumatized? We'd like to hear your comments.

Mayor Mark Funkhouser is expected to give his budge recommendations Wednesday. Those recommendations will not only include job cuts, but cuts to places like the KC Zoo, the Jazz Museum and Liberty Memorial.
The problem: Kansas City needs to make up for a budget shortfall that ranges from 48 to 78 million dollars. To make up that money, 900 jobs will need to be cut. Fire stations will have to close, and community centers will be hit hard. There is also concern over the future of the Kansas City Zoo which gets about $4.5 million each year from the city, which is 40 percent of KC's budget.
If you were in Mayor Funkhouser's place, how would you propose to solve Kansas City's budget crisis?Get the complete story here.
