I'm sure everyone has heard the latest that American Airlines will be charging, returning service men/women for checking their luggage, on their commercial flights. Yes, they say that can apply for a refund of the charge, from the government, but we all know that all the paperwork and red tape isn't worth it. I don't understand AA's thinking. How can they possible due this, in good conscience? Actually, I think they should let them fly free of charge. If not for their service to this country, the airlines would be faced with much bigger issues than fuel costs. This is just one example of big corporations greed. Maybe that's one of the reasons AA is having to lay off 600 people in K.C. Could it be that people choose not to fly on a money hungry airline? If they'd cut the enormous salaries of their "upper echelon" they could afford some of the "little niceties" in life.
If all the airlines adopt AA's practices, guess I'll go back to driving. I know some of the other airlines are staring to charge for water, soft drinks, pillow and blankets. Just remember who started this fiasco. So far Southwest says they won't inject these practices. FLY SOUTHWEST!
