Lousy forecasting

What's with the poor forecasting? I know I heard Karli talking about rain moving down from Nebraska, last night.  Where did it go?  The same thing happens over and over with Mike Thompson.  Am I wrong, but is the only way they can tell what the weather is going to be is to look outside before they give the weather report?
I realize that in this part of the country, the weather can change in a matter of minutes, but isn't meteorology a science?

Nope, in this part of the country it is a guessing game.

You know there is a reason so many used to say, "Hey if you don't like the weather, just wait few hours it will change"
