Hey, folks, Want to participate in tweaking the Drive-By Media?  You are aware, probably, that Barack Obama lost his bearings recently and said that he was going to campaign in all 57 states.  You heard this?  And everybody chalked it up to, 'Well, he's tired.'

You know, this is a Dan Quayle moment.  I mean, Dan Quayle goes out there and misspells 'potato,' and we still hear jokes about it.  Barack Obama says he's gonna go out and campaign in 57 states, he was just tired, you know, it's been such a long campaign, he's been so many places, he probably thinks there are 57 states.  Well, I have here a printout from a website called the International Humanist and Ethical
Union .  And here is how the second paragraph of an article on that website begins.  'Every year from 1999 to 2005 the organization of the Islamic conference representing the 57 Islamic states presented a resolution to the United Nations commission on human rights called combating.'

We're participating here in a tweak of the media.  Obama said he's going to campaign in 57 states, and it turns out that there are 57 Islamic states.  'Every year from 1999 to 2005, the organization of the Islamic conference representing the 57 Islamic states,' this is from the International Humanist and Ethical Union And the title of the piece here is, 'How the Islamic states dominate the UN human rights council,' and there are 57 of them.

So did Obama just lose his bearings, or was this a more telling slip, ladies and gentlemen? Will YOU be deceived by this man ?

I must state before anything else, that I have no inside information nor do I support any such activity. I doubt, if Obama is elected he will survive a month. Some wacked out racial or religious A@%&*#$. I would consider this to be a real tragedy as I have no personal objection to a black, female, native, or any other demographic category, holding the office of the president. His choice for the VP will have more to do with survival than anything else, but it could also prevent his election. McCain's age may keep him from getting elected so this might be the best time ever presented to the public to turn this government around. Vote for anybody but these two.

Let's hope security is good enough that nobody will try to shoot his black half, linecrosser. And I do mean that, despite the humor.

I just take it as a forgone conclusion that he'll win.

The American public has gone largely socialist, and they are mesmerized by any scheister with a silver tongue.

I do not think he will win, I hope American will realize this man is not for America. All you need to do is read his book, it tells all.

I will admit - I do worry about someone trying to kill him.

I still like him better then McCain.

I know I'm going against the grain on this blog... But, I'm for an Obama/Sebelius ticket in 2008

snoopy2, You have as much right as any to voice your opinion. I think we're in trouble, no matter which way it goes. Maybe more, one way, than the other, but we could have darker days looming on the horizon.

All of our problems can be traced back to the Reagan Administration. See, Reagan busted the budget, but with a purpose; he brought about the fall of the U.S.S.R.
The Russians were broke, but few people believed it. Reagan accellerated the U.S's military expenditures and forced the Soviets hand. Down fell the "wall" and the empire. OK, I say good job; Cold War ended. The problem comes after Reagan. No one, not Republicans or Democrats, a President or Congress have done one thing to stop the accelleration of our Govt's spending addiction. Sure, you can blame Bush for the war costs and all that, but check out Clinton's increase in expenditures. Now, we stand still in preparation of Obama's 3 trillion dollar Health Care plan, and 250 billion dollar "alternative energy" plan. And do we still think Bush and the war are really the problem? A problem yes, just not as big as people like to make it.
Good news. If Obama gets elected, 80% chance it is 4 years and done.

Reagan outspent the Soviets but didn't bust the budget because Clinton had a surplus.

You're spinning the 57 thing all wrong. Obama just put Heintz 57 ketchup sauce on his burger and was overheard talking about his heintz 57 dog.

Who busted the budget is the least of our worries it is who keeps the budget busted we need to think about and it isn't just Bush. If congress keeps going we may all be in the poor house trying to pay enough taxes to bail our country out of debt.

I do not like this man, he is not America,he is not American. How can we even attempt to elect a person is against everything this country was founded on. He wont salute our flag, He wont say the pledge of allegiance, he doesnt take the oath of office with his hand on the Bible. But yet the speech he gave yesterday here in Independence was partly about patriotism, Patriotism for whom. Not America. If he was to get elected, which I dont think he will, (I think he will get asassinated)The united states will be gone as we no it. He is too strong to his roots , the terrorist will have a field day in the U.S.

Beware of someone who always talks about "change" but never elaborated to what that will be. Will it be high priced health care, will it be higher taxation so they can give away more money to welfare, will it be a policy to just let nature take its' course, will it be a new world order? What does change mean? Obama has never answered those questions and that scares the BOOGEDY out of me. I can't believe that people can be so naive' to think this man can change the world with his "slick" tongue. The piper is blowing and the rats are marching.

I am not willing to say the Obama is anything except totally and completely unqualified to President of the US. He is a one-term senator from Illinois.
He is also a man who wants gun control, and a man who knows nothing about the military or foreign relations.
At this time when we find ourselves so entangled in a war with Iraq that we cannot take care of business in any other part of the world, we need someone knows our military in order to make decisions on where to go from here without making a worse mess. We need someone who has the skills to deal with other governments in the world who are , at this very minute, a worse threat than Sadaam Hussein ever was. Obama is not the person who should lead.
Unfortunately, we do not seem to have any candidate who is qualified. Many people other than myself are really at a loss as to who to vote for.
Perhaps we should discuss just who our other options are, and maybe try to get on the same page so that a better candidate would have a real chance.

mzjazz37, that pretty well sums it up. Now would you mind opening a discussion on our "other options"? How you suggest how we put "a better candidate" into the race, at this late date. There are 2 candidates that will be running, and my guess is that the electoral college has already determined the winner.
