How is it that the states of Kansas and Missouri allow people to be bounty hunter's while on parole?????????????This is something that definetly needs CORRECTED.They don't even need a warrant like a police officer would, and i'm pretty sure you won't find any cops on parole.I'f i were a fugitive you can bet  no bounty hunter's would enter my house he'd get my gun, barrel first.Something definetly needs to be done about this loop hole.

The bounty hunter "laws" are a result of case law connected to Supreme Court decision circa 1869.
It hasn't been challenged much and is intact other than ancillary laws that apply to everyone, ie...weapons,conceal& carry etc. There are local ordinances in some locales that require Bounty Hunters to inform the police, sheriff's dept, etc.,in advance on where they will be operating and who they are attempting to capture. This actually protects the Bounty Hunter from being accidentally shot, by police.
There are two cases in KC regarding Bounty Hunters entering the wrong address and causing damage. Right address or wrong address, the machismo thing about bounty hunters and no search warrants open themselves up to an enormous risk of being shot while entering someone's residence.
If Bounty Hunters operated under all the city ordinances expected of them, there really wouldn't be that much of a problem. I wouldn't expect any amendments to the Supreme Court Decision, as it doesn't affect that many people.

Nobody currently on probation\parole should not be in an authoritive position such as a bounty hunter. It's ONLY common sense.

Is a bounty hunter really in a position of authority?

Sometimes the best way to find a crook is to use a crook. I know of convicted felons who are bounty hunters. Frankly they're good at it. Anyone heard of Dog the Bounty Hunter? He is a convicted murderer who not only is a bounty hunter, but he is glorified on his own TV show.

Well if they can go in your house and place you under arrest,i would say that was a job that had authority over someone, how obvious is that? The only reason "Dog" catches anybody is cause there no where to go on that little island.lol.Either all cops are crooks or were employing the wrong people is that what your saying bmac1957.

I'm saying that the criminals have all the rights and the police are handcuffed and muzzled from the start. Bounty hunters on the whole take down alot of bad people that otherwise would still be running their game. There are bad folks in everything, police, government you name it. If your not involved in nefarious activities, you have nothing to fear.

Give me a break. People talk like it is tough down on troost when in reality it is full of nothing but cowards. Troost is full of nothing but wanna-be punks and gang members. Nothing to fear.
