In my neighborhood, we are the only ones who put out a recycle bin. Yes, its a little more work than just throwing everything in the trash sack, but a little care makes a big difference! I have quit going to places that just serve drinks in styrophome and only buy products that are in containers that we can recycle.

I've seen a few neighborhoods with lots and lots of recycle bins, they just ain't in mine!
As for the JCP at the Legends...I haven't been there for a long, long time. I have stopped spending money at the Legends. My husband and I don't go out to eat hardly at all. I needed a couple of pairs of jeans and found them for $2.99 each at a thrift store. I might have to brave KMart for a new pair of tennies and I'm dreading that! My stimulus check went to savings...and thats where its going to stay. I think if we stop spending money on stuff we don't need, prices will go down. But thats another blog, isn't it?

We recycle in Wy-Co, and I am glad to see others doing it to. I was keeping plastics out b4 the recycle started and then taking to the recycle dumpster at the dump. Our recycle bin is full every Friday. I save the aluminum cans though for extra cash. Send your cans my way!!
We don't shop at the Legends. Might go somewhere to eat...but only during the week. Too crowded on the weekends.

The Legends is way too crowded for me on the weekends as well...during the week it's not busy @ all. Jtherron50, when the new Super Walmart is built @ the Legends that's where we'll be doing our shopping as a family. Can't wait!

Even the recycling center's are getting to be a bear to deal with.

Unless they can sell it for a profit now (Ron Deffenbaugh sold out) they do not offer to recycle it.
No more styrofoam, No more batteries(aaa,aa,9volt).
Not sure what else has been stopped, my wife is a recycle queen. I am just the car loader.

When they build the new Wal-mart I will apply for a job! Close to home!

We go through a lot of plastic here. And cereal boxes...pop can cartons...ect...Our bin fills up quick.

My son works for Deff. and tells me a bit about what goes on....very interesting.

I have lived in both Kansas Cities, having moved to the Kansas side about 15 years ago. I love the diversity of KCK! I'm not real thrilled with the property tax, but thats another show! I am the mother of 2, a grandmother of 4 and the wife of a truck driver. I consider my family my best asset. I only hope to live long enough to be a burden to all of them! I collect butter churns, door knockers and prosthetic limbs. I used to drive in the demolition derby. My life has always been a circus and I'm the biggest clown!
