I just watched an expose' on the girls who were mixed up during a fatal car wreck. My heart goes out to all people involved, but I doubt if I could ever confuse my daughter with someone else. I know what she looks like from head to toe. I know her hairline, I know her eyebrows, I especially know what her hands and feet look like. I know where she has freckles and moles. Do you think this might be a false story?

Well, what if the girls were so badly mangled that all those things you mentioned were altered, either by bad cuts, or a burn? Some people swell up very badly after accidents, and their features are distorted. I think that sometimes it really can and does happen. I didn't see the story that you mentioned about, but I did hear last year of a story of mistaken identity between teen girls.

Her face was swollen, but there were no burns or breaks. They did feel a bit confused when the girls hospital gown was lifted and they saw a belly button ring. This happened after 3 or 4 weeks. My daughter was in the hospital for a while with a brain bleed. Every day I checked her body, I looked at her torso to make sure she wasn't having sore spots...
If you put up pictures of 20 women's hands and feet, I could pick out my child's.

I have lived in both Kansas Cities, having moved to the Kansas side about 15 years ago. I love the diversity of KCK! I'm not real thrilled with the property tax, but thats another show! I am the mother of 2, a grandmother of 4 and the wife of a truck driver. I consider my family my best asset. I only hope to live long enough to be a burden to all of them! I collect butter churns, door knockers and prosthetic limbs. I used to drive in the demolition derby. My life has always been a circus and I'm the biggest clown!
