CHAPEL HILL -- Shawn Turschak of Chapel Hill was tired of someone stealing McCain-Palin campaign signs from his yard.

 

So the man with a degree in electrical engineering hooked up a third sign to a power source for an electric pet fence Monday. Turschak also put up a surveillance camera.

The News & Observer of Raleigh reports that Tuesday, a 9-year-old boy with an Obama-Biden sign grabbed the McCain-Palin sign and got a jolt.

The boy's father, Andrew Noble, then showed up at the Turschak's door, upset his son had been shocked. Soon an Orange County sheriff's deputy also showed up at the Turschak's home.

Noble says his son just wanted to see how the sign was put together. Turschak says the boy intended to swap out the signs.

Sheriff Lindy Pendergrass said he doesn't plan to file charges.

it was put together. I guess he found out,
didn't he?

I don't like this sign mess on either side of
the issue.

I would love to see the video of the little brat. Swap out the signs?? Wow, almost as ridiculous as trying to sway voters on a message board. One dumb sign when pulling out of his driveway will not change his vote Nov 4th.

The father needs a cattle prod up the arse. He put the kid up to it. He needs to be charged with a misdemeanor and corruption of a minor.

I saw the video and the kid touched it and snatched his hand back real quick and then ran off. NO fizzing hair, no jolt of lighting.. just enough to learn the dont touch lesson again.

And I didn't pay that much attention the first time.. but is that an Obama sign in his hand.. was he going to take the McCain sign and replace it with Obama.. or was he just going around snatching signs?

I'm glad that man rigged his yard with a jolt surprise for people who think they have the right to take down a sign in their neighbor's yard. I saw that there was a sign posted right next to McCain's sign that warned about voltage. I'm sure that kid's parents put him up to it...where did the kid get the Barack sign? They aren't handed out to kids, you know. Sometimes those underhanded tactics, like stealing signs, don't work, huh? Hopefully the child learned a lesson that the parent will probably never learn.

Over the hill and going up the next one,and after reading many of the politically motivated blogs here I just want to say,an airplane can't fly with just one wing whether it be right wing or a left wing it will just fly in circles like a dog chasing its tail.
