It is interesting to note that the reviewer is on record as saying "I really have a great appreciation for the cinematic arts." Recently I saw the movie "I am Legend" and have to say it was the worst movie I have seen since "Red Dawn" in the 80's. Nothing interesting or believable happens during the entire course of the movie.

A short recap of the movie: Virus infects US, everyone except Will Smith vacates Manhatten. His family dies, he kills his dog and he fights cartoonish looking characters that we are supposed to believe are the infected citizens left on the island. I won't disclose the ending but probably should to save anyone else from having to see this awful movie. You could not pay me to see this movie again but I wonder if someone had to pay Shawn for the favorable review.

Hey Shawn, have you seen "No Country for Old Men" "Juno", "Charlie Wilson's War"? Any of those three would be monumental improvements over the movie you rank at the top and I came up with those in 15 seconds. If you are drawing a paycheck for reviewing movies it ought to be a crime.

IF YOU THINK "I AM LEGEND" IS THE BEST FILM OR THE YEAR, I WANT TO KNOW HOW YOU GOT YOUR JOB. THAT IS HILARIOUS. DID YOU SEE "WAITRESS" OR "SWEENY TODD". AND AMERICAN GANGSTER WAS NOT ALL THAT AT ALL. AS FOR HALLE BERRY, I LOVE HER BUT SHE CAN'T ACT. YOU NEED TO GO BACK TO SCHOOL. FOX I THINK IT'S TIME YOU REFRESHED YOUR FILM CRITIC DEPARTMENT, IT IS SORELY LACKING SOME INTELLECT, AND TASTE.

BTW "HAIRSPRAY", LIKE "RENT", WAS A LETDOWN, QUEEN LATIFAH WAS THE WORST PART OF THE FILM, WHAT HAPPENED FROM BEING GREAT IN "CHICAGO" TO MERELY EXSISTING ON THE CELULOID IN THIS FILM. TRIFLING, SIMPLY TRIFLING.

I'm one of the movie critics here at FOX 4. I love my job, and I love movies! When I was a kid growing up in Friendship Village, I turned my bedroom into a film studio and made my own movies. I actually won a couple of student filmmaking awards. But, I really got into it for the girls. Naw, I really have a great appreciation for the cinematic arts. I'm going to use this blog to tell you all the stuff I don't have time to tell you about on television. And, I can't wait to hear what you think about the movies I review or the stars I talk to out in Hollywood.
