Rhesus's Blog

I am not a blogger and this is the first time I've done this type of thing but people should know this.  I've had Deffenbaugh trash service for years.  My son recently bought a house not too far from mine and subscribed to trash service.  I found out today that my son's Deffenbaugh bill is $12.75 less than mine.  When I called to find out why, I was told that I'm on the 'old pricing' and my son is on the new pricing BUT they are not automatically applying the new lower rate to long time customers.  If you don't call and request the new rate, you will continue to pay the higher price.  What a ripoff!! People don't  know that there is a new lower price so they how would they know to call to request this?  Furthermore, the lady I spoke to said she would adjust my rate for the NEXT billing cycle, even though I hadn't paid the current bill yet.  There is no retroactive adjustment.  My son and I have the same trash service.  If I hadn't seen his bill, I would have continued to pay $60.75 while he and other new customers in our area are only paying $48.  SPREAD THE WORD... Their phone number is 913-631-3300 and they now have better contact hours: 6 am-7 pm M-F and 7 am-12 Noon on Sat (even though I called in the early am, I still had to hold.)

Deffenbaugh was sold. Largely in part because Ron Deffenbaugh is paralyzed from the neck down due to falling off an MRI table at Shawnee Mission Medical Center. A lawsuit is pending over that incident. The new owners are probably trying to extricate more money from existing customer.

There's an option. A-1 @ 816-741-2957 is a viable alternative.

Without the recycling fees (mandatory in some places) is runs about $20.00/mo.

Their phone is ringing off the hook!

It's actually an interesting lawsuit partly because of who may prevail and the circumstances involved. It's also very complicated. In a nutshell the Deff. attorneys say he was unattended while waiting and SMMC point is that he was taking unauthorized, unknown, and unreported painkillers, causing him to fall off

It was amended Tuesday to include willful and negligent conduct on the part of the x-ray techs for moving him after they knew he had fallen and possibly damaged his spinal cord. They also allege a doctor (radiologist) was close by and didn't offer any help.

Any spinal cord (cervical) injury offers a poor prognosis and it is my guess this will be settled before trial for millions.

Siemens, maker of the table, is trying to opt out of the litigation.

Other issues are staffing at the hospital.

We had a blog about this company a few times last year, After Deffenbaugh's Costly Divorce,. He raise the rates, His crew destroyed 3 sets of my Metal cans, and then refused to pick up certain items, So I canned them and went elsewhere,
Cheated on Wife, got divorce, and making the customers pay his alimony. What a Nice Guy.
